yummy kisses your dog will love

November 4, 2008

I don’t normally review treats because dogs like so many different kinds whether they are good for them or not. My Jess will eat almost anything. But I must tell you about Stella and Chewy’s Carnivore Kisses (www.stellaandchewys.com).

Direct from their website it explains, ‘Stella & Chewy’s is an all-natural, raw, frozen-fresh and freeze-dried petfood, made exclusively from human-grade free-range meats, ground bones, and fresh organic vegetables.’

Although the idea of ‘freeze dried’ is not terribly appealing, it is a fantastic product made from just one ingredient; free range chicken or beef. They are great for traveling and good for dogs who may need to lose a few pounds (no grains included). With all the crazy dog food recalls out there, it is nice to find a manufacturer dedicated to making safe (and tasty) products for our pets.

Henry and Jess go absolutely crazy for them (they almost dance around the kitchen when I take them out) - and Henry can be quite fussy about his treats. All Henry’s testers were wild about Stella & Chewy’s carnivore kisses so we had to give them a five out of five.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich., Oct 29, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/
The Obama Look-a-Like winner, Amore Francine, is a one-and-1/2 year old boxer from Mt. Clemens, MI. With a slightly tilted head, dark eyes and a soft smile, Amore brought home the win against fierce competition. Weighing 52 lbs and with a heart-shaped birthmark on her chest, Amore loves digging in the backyard and playing with other dogs at the dog park.
The McCain Look-a-Like winner, Ginny Doll of Rochester Hills, MI, is a 7 lb, 11 inch high, two-year old Maltese. With well-groomed white hair, a relatable, friendly face and a red-white-and-blue border, Ginny was presidential as she gained an early lead and kept it through to the final round. Ginny lives with her human family along with three other dogs: Liberty, Ruby, Cassie, and Maggie, the cat.
The dogs were two of ten finalists in an online contest sponsored by Rover411.com. Each week, one dog from each category with the lowest votes was eliminated. Over 4000 votes were received.
